Brook Horowitz

Brook Horowitz is Executive Director of the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) in Russia. IBLF is an independent not-for-profit business association promoting responsible business practices worldwide.

In Russia, IBLF organises workshops and training sessions for corporate leaders and senior executives aimed at improving business standards, corporate governance, health, safety and environmental management. Under Brook’s leadership, IBLF has instigated projects in Russia which bring together business, government and civil society to develop young people’s entrepreneurial and workplace skills, encourage employee engagement and promote financial literacy.

A graduate of Cambridge and Harvard Universities, Brook has had over 20 years’ experience working in Russia. As an executive with US multinational General Electric during the nineties, he held senior positions in business development, product management and sales and marketing in Russia, Hungary and throughout Europe. From 2001, he worked as a consultant for a number of Russian companies and on projects funded by EU and the UK’s Department for International Development. He joined IBLF in 2004 specifically to establishp its Russian operations.

Brook regularly appears at international conferences on business in Russia and is a regular contributor to International Herald Tribune, Moscow Times, Vedomosti and other publications. He is a Trustee of Pushkin House, a Russian cultural association in London.
